Massage
The treatment your body has been asking for. Whether you need to unwind, recover or simply feel human again — every massage is shaped entirely around you.

What is massage?
Massage is one of the world's oldest healing practices — and one of the most effective. By working with the soft tissues of your body, massage stimulates circulation, releases muscular tension and activates your parasympathetic nervous system: the part of your body responsible for rest and recovery.
At Libra Therapies, massage isn't a fixed routine. Every session begins with a conversation about how you're feeling and what you need. From there, Francesca tailors the pressure, technique and focus areas to suit your body on that particular day. You're always in control — and the treatment adapts to you, not the other way around.
Using natural, organic products and drawing on a blend of Western and Ayurvedic massage traditions, the result is a treatment that works on both a physical and emotional level. Most clients describe the experience as deeply restorative — not just relaxing, but genuinely healing.

Swedish / Relaxation Massage
The one everyone needs — but nobody books often enough.
The classic full-body treatment. Using long, flowing strokes, kneading and gentle percussion, Swedish massage encourages deep relaxation, eases muscular tension and improves circulation. It's the treatment to reach for when you're feeling stressed, struggling to sleep, or simply need an hour of dedicated time to switch off and let someone else take care of you.
Good for: anyone who hasn't had a massage before, people who hold tension in their neck and shoulders, those struggling with sleep

Deep Tissue Massage
For the tension that won't shift on its own.
A more targeted treatment using sustained pressure and slow strokes to reach the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Deep tissue massage is particularly effective for chronic pain, postural problems and areas of long-held tension that lighter treatments don't quite reach. It can feel intense — but Francesca always works within your comfort level.
Good for: chronic back or neck pain, postural issues from desk work, recurring muscle tightness that keeps coming back
Back, Neck & Shoulders
Targeted relief for the areas that carry the most tension.
A focused treatment working deeply into the back, neck and shoulder muscles — the areas most affected by desk work, driving, stress and poor posture. Using a combination of deep tissue techniques and targeted pressure work, this session addresses the specific knots and tightness that build up in the upper body. In just 45 minutes, you'll feel the difference.
Good for: desk workers, drivers, anyone with persistent neck or shoulder tightness, headache sufferers

Pregnancy Massage
Because your body is working harder than ever — and it deserves support.
A nurturing, gentle massage designed specifically for expectant mothers. Adapted positions and carefully chosen techniques help ease common pregnancy discomforts including lower back pain, swollen ankles, hip tension and general fatigue. Safe from the second trimester onwards. This is your time to be looked after.
Good for: pregnancy-related back pain, swollen legs and feet, difficulty sleeping, emotional wellbeing during pregnancy

What to expect
Before your treatment
Every session begins with a brief consultation. Francesca will ask about any areas of tension, pain or discomfort, and discuss what you'd like to get from the treatment. This is your chance to ask questions and set the pace.
During your treatment
You'll lie on a heated treatment table in a calm, quiet space. Francesca uses natural organic oils and adapts her technique throughout — checking in to make sure the pressure is right for you. Most clients describe a deep sense of release and relaxation.
After your treatment
Take your time getting up. You may feel deeply relaxed or slightly lightheaded — that's completely normal. Francesca will offer aftercare advice: drink plenty of water, avoid intense exercise for 24 hours, and listen to what your body needs.
