Sports Stretching
Take your body further than you can go alone. Professional assisted stretching to improve your range of motion, correct postural imbalances and keep you injury-free.

What is assisted stretching?
Assisted stretching is exactly what it sounds like — a trained therapist takes your body through a range of stretches that you can't safely or effectively do on your own. It's the missing piece for most people's movement routines.
Francesca uses a combination of evidence-based techniques — passive stretching, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) and AIS (active isolated stretching) — to improve your joint mobility, correct imbalances and lengthen chronically tight muscles. Each stretch is precise, controlled and tailored to your body.
Stretching sessions work brilliantly on their own, or as a complement to regular sports massage. Many clients alternate between the two for complete muscular maintenance.
The techniques Francesca uses
Passive Stretching
Francesca guides your body into a stretch position and holds it while you remain completely relaxed. Ideal for general flexibility work and recovery sessions.
PNF Stretching
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation involves gentle resistance followed by a deeper stretch. Research shows PNF produces greater flexibility gains than passive stretching alone.
Active Isolated Stretching (AIS)
Short, precise stretches held for just a few seconds and repeated to gradually increase range of motion without triggering the muscle's protective stretch reflex.
This treatment could help if…
You don't need to be a gymnast. If your body feels stiff, restricted or unbalanced, stretching can help.
Stiffness that limits your daily movement
Recurring niggles and muscle tightness
Poor posture from desk work
Want to improve athletic performance
Injury prevention as part of your training
Recovery between intense sessions
Full Body Stretching Session
Head-to-toe flexibility work — the full service.
A comprehensive session addressing all major muscle groups and joints. Francesca works methodically through the whole body — hips, hamstrings, quads, glutes, lower back, shoulders, chest and neck — identifying areas of restriction and working to restore full range of motion. Ideal as a regular maintenance treatment or to address widespread stiffness.
Good for: overall flexibility improvement, training maintenance, sedentary lifestyles, widespread stiffness

Targeted Stretching Session
Zero in on the area that needs it most.
Focuses on a specific area — such as the hips and lower back, shoulders and neck, or hamstrings and calves. This is a great option if you know exactly where your restriction is, or if Francesca has identified an area in a previous session that needs dedicated work. Also popular as an add-on to a sports massage appointment.
Good for: specific tightness (hips, hamstrings, shoulders), post-injury mobility work, add-on to sports massage, focused improvement
What to expect
Movement assessment
Francesca will ask about your training, any restrictions and what you'd like to improve. She may test certain ranges of motion to identify where your body is tight or limited.
During your session
You lie on the treatment table while Francesca guides each stretch. She'll ask you to gently resist and relax at certain points (that's the PNF element). It shouldn't hurt — you'll feel a strong but comfortable stretch throughout.
Afterwards
Most clients feel noticeably looser and lighter straight away. Francesca often gives you one or two stretches to do at home between sessions to maintain the gains. Results are cumulative — the more regular the sessions, the better the outcomes.
